This blog has been created to allow my wife's Uncle "Milford Acornes" to vent a little. He's become a nuisance so we thought we'd get him a hobby. At this point we have to post for him.
Wow! Great bee shots! Is that blue with purple foliage some kind of salvia? It's quite striking. And the yellow poppies with the purple whatever-they-are (scabiosa maybe?) is a nice combination. Very inspiring!
If you don't mind my asking, what kind of camera are you using? My old Olympus digital is on its last leg, and I'm looking for recommendations. Thanks!
Hello Liz, You're right it is salvia but did you know salvia is a major league hallucinogen and very popular with the post mushroom crowd? I'll go back and look but I think the purple stuff is campanula glomerata superba.
The camera is a Canon Powershot A420-my wife brought it home from work it was on sale for thirty bucks. Its okay but its not a good camera. I learned on it and since I'm rough on the equipment it has been perfect for me.

I was wrong, I'll figure out what it is. The Canon camera was originally about three hundred Canadian which made it a real bargoon.
to beee or not to bbeee. Luv him!
Coincidence, I just bought one of those cameras on sale for $130 u.s. Easy to use.
Ron - these are wonderful - thanks for posting them and remembering how much I love poppies.
